Beautiful work deserved a beautiful place to live online.
A complete website redesign for Deborah Kirk Interiors — built around her portfolio, her brand, and a simpler path from inspiration to consultation.
A design business with a site that undersold her work.
Deborah Kirk Interiors had built a reputation for thoughtful, high-end design — but her website didn't reflect that. It was outdated, slow to load, and gave potential clients no easy way to actually understand Deborah's work.
Prospective clients would land on a site that felt dated compared to the quality of the work itself. There was no clear path to book a consultation, no real portfolio to browse, and no presence at all for Deborah Kirk Ranches, a growing part of her business.
- Weak header, no clear purpose Oversized logo, tiny navigation, and no prominent action for visitors.
- No hero message or next step The first screen is almost all photography — no headline or consultation CTA.
- Visitors left to figure out who she is Nothing explains what Deborah does, who she serves, or what sets her apart.
- Beautiful photography, no conversion path The imagery doesn't lead visitors to a portfolio, services, or booking.
- Contact info feels like an afterthought Tiny email and phone details at the bottom, with no real inquiry flow.
- A clear next step in the header The Book a Consultation button is prominent, not buried in the footer.
- A real positioning statement Visitors know who Deborah is and what she offers within seconds.
- Credibility, right on the page Experience and awards are shown as fact, not just claimed in the copy.
- Photography paired with a path forward The same striking work, now leading somewhere.
- Two clear actions View the portfolio or book a consultation — an obvious next step.
Built around what actually matters for a design business.
Instead of a generic template, I designed the site around three things that actually move the needle for a design business: making it simple to book a consultation, showcasing real work in a proper gallery, and keeping the site connected to the Instagram feed that already had an audience.
- Integrated Booking Flow Clients can check availability and request a consultation directly from the site — no back-and-forth emails just to get a first meeting on the calendar.
- Real Portfolio Gallery A proper, fast-loading gallery organized by project — so visitors can actually browse finished rooms instead of scrolling a handful of scattered photos.
- Live Instagram Feed Her most current work already lived on Instagram — so the site pulls it in live, keeping the portfolio fresh without any extra work on her end.
The full scope, beyond the highlights.
Beyond the redesign, the rebuild covered everything from portfolio architecture and search visibility to security, deployment, and ownership.

“I didn’t expect the process to be this easy. Guy asked the right questions upfront, showed me drafts early instead of disappearing for weeks, and the site he built actually looks like my work — not a template with my name slapped on it.”
